Coyle Higgins, 3, gives the Easter Bunny a big hug during the annual Easter Bunny Brunch at Club Meade on April 1. Families enjoyed a brunch, games, arts and crafts and time with the Easter Bunny.

Fort Meade children celebrated Easter by decorating eggs and cookies, making picture frames, filling baskets with candy and toys and getting Easter-holiday tattoos during the installation’s annual Easter Bunny Brunch.

The sold-out event was held April 1 at Club Meade and drew more than 200 people.

“We do this to give back to the community and to celebrate the Easter season,” said Talissa McMullen, Child and Youth Service’s Middle School and Teen director, who organized the brunch.

Families enjoyed ham, eggs and bacon macaroni and cheese and chicken nuggets.

“A lot of families said they enjoyed themselves. It’s a family tradition,” she said.
